Welcome to Year 5 - Maple Class! Your teacher is Mrs Butler.
Our topic this term is World War 2. I will send out Heads Up Learning and Spellings every Friday for you to practise the skills you will need for the following week and any additional home learning activities will be set on SeeSaw during the week. Please don't forget to do these!
You are expected to bring your book bag containing your reading and spelling books to school every day. Please also make sure you have a named water bottle and pencil case.
Our PE day is Thursday. You may wear your PE kit to school on these days; PE kit is only: plain dark blue or black jogging bottoms, leggings or shorts, a plain white t-shirt and school jumper. You will be asked to change if you wear any other item of clothing. Don't forget to remove earrings before school on PE days or provide tape so that you are able to tape your own ears.
Trainers may be worn on PE days only.
We also do Daily Mile activities for keeping up our fitness.
Our class visit the school library on Fridays. You may take out a new book each week provided you have returned your previous book. There is a charge of £5 for lost or damaged books.
I hope you find the Welcome powerpoint useful. It contains further information about our class but please get in contact if you have any other questions.
I can be contacted via the Seesaw family app. Messages will be read during working hours (up to 5pm) Monday to Friday and I will do my best to reply as soon as possible. For urgent enquiries or messages, please email the school office at firstname.lastname@example.org
